New Blog Alert

2 things.

1. I started a blog using Mac stuff. It's at http://web.me.com/rochellekprice. It's so fun! I'm pretty sure all posts will be there from now on. It's easier to work on and I love everything Mac.

2. Why is the new trend to abbreviate exclamations? For example, ridic (instead of ridiculous), phenom (instead of phenomenal), fantast (instead of fantastic), you get the picture. Ok, I made up fantast, but ridic and phenom are quickly becoming everyday speech. I say it bugs. :)

A Bug's Life

Happy Halloween! I have about 900 things that I need to post about but I thought I'd first write about Halloween. I think people have given up on me anyways and only like 2 people ever check my blog these days.

So for Halloween this year Jude was the sweetest little caterpillar ever!













I was a butterfly and Barry was a lepodopterist. For those who aren't familiar with that term (AKA anyone outside of Barry's parents and siblings) a lepodopterist is a butterfly catcher. It was such a blast!













Here is what Jude was wearing under his costume. It was so cute, he kind of looked like a little burglar. That's right he can sit up! He has been for the past 2 weeks now. It's so great!















And this is when Jude almost ruined Halloween.













One of the cutest little boys in our ward here in Ann Arbor, is this little guy named Carter. Acutally he's not very little - he's more like the majority of Jude's cousins. He's about 9 months old and he could pretty much eat Jude. But Jude is definitely getting bigger - he even has a double chin!




















Our best friends from the law school, Rory and Kendra, dressed up as Weekend Update from SNL for Halloween. We helped them out as best as we could for their costume - and they won the costume contest at the Halloween party that the law school had! It was at a bar, so we couldn't bring Jude, so we didn't go. But here is the finished product:

We definitely missed our family - but we still had a great day! Happy Halloween!

About a Boy

So the last post was written the day before Jude's 4 Month appt. at the doctor. And everytime I click back on my blog, I see what I posted and I want to cry. Jude had lost a pound! He was 4 months old and while he was 90th percentile in height, he only weighed 10 lbs 10 oz! Apparently the stress of a very busy summer and a move across the country cut my milk supply way down. Jude is such a good baby that I had no idea. He still slept through the night and rarely cried and there was no way for me to know. So we started supplementing with formula and he gained 2 lbs in 10 days. It's been a few weeks now, and he's around 15 lbs by my estimation. So finally all his 3-6 month clothing is nice and snug and sooo adorable. Here's a few favorites:






We've recently started Jude on solids. We started with rice cereal of course, and this was Jude's response:



A couple weeks later we tried out green beans - and in return got this video. Keep in mind that any noise you hear is us laughing, Jude is absolutely silent:



Isn't that the funniest thing you've ever seen?! The involuntary shudder at the end is hysterical! We love him!

So when Jude was born he was a little chunk - 8 lbs 11 oz. Here's a picture to prove it:

And 4+ months later, my little skinny boy still fits in it!


He has a doctor's appointment on Friday, so we'll see just how long this guy is. He eats alot, he's just long and skinny, I swear!

Sleeping Collage

I know, I know.  I suck at blogging.  I even have this fantasmic computer and I just haven't had the time to do much yet.  My new place in Michigan doesn't quite fit our stuff as well as our last apartment.  So to me it looks like the furniture section at Salvation Army.  Everything is obviously mismatched and most of it's a hand me down :)  It's not very eclectic looking or anything.  I think it's Barry's dream to live at Salvation Army - his version of a shopping heaven.  But I would rather live at Nordstrom, so this living room is killing me.  So that's where all of Jude's nap time goes - to me trying to organize and decorate this shack.

So I took a class yesterday at the Mac store about iPhoto (which is ridiculously awesome) and so as I was putting my new skills to work, I noticed that we must love Jude alot while he's sleeping because there's about 900 pictures of him doing so.  Here's just a few of them, in chronological order:

1 Week Old - Check out those lips!

10 Days Old - This wasn't staged, Barry took it while we were sleeping.

4 Weeks - Trying unsuccessfully to wake him up to eat.

2 Months - So tired he completely slept through getting undressed to get ready for bed.

3.5 Months - Hoarding his stuff on the drive to Michigan.
